About Us

それまでのバラ品種に飽き足らず、バラの育種を手掛けるようになり、1991年に市川バラ園 オリジナル品種として一重のバラ 「ティータイム」を作出。この「ティータイム」は、既存の茎が長く真っ直ぐでしっかりとした高芯剣弁な切バラにはない魅力を持ったバラとして注目されました。
また、本来ガーデン品種であった香り豊かな「イヴ・ピアジェ」 にフランスのローズガーデンで出会い、これを切バラとして栽培しました。そこから更に、オリジナルの「市川イヴシリーズ」が誕生。 バラ本来の優雅な香り、優しい花弁、生き生きと伸びやかな品種、１度見たら忘れられない個性的な品種など、既存の切バラの常識にとらわれない新品種を作出してきました。
これら市川バラ園オリジナル品種は、50品種を超え、市川バラ園でのみ栽培される希少性、ストーリーを感じさせるネーミングと相まって、国内外のフラワーデザイナーやバラファンを常に魅了し、インスピレーションを与え続けています。
バラ園のある静岡 三島本店をはじめ、東京 銀座の市川バラ園直営バラ専門店「市川バラ園 メゾン銀座」では、実際に触れ感じていただけるバラ香るサロン、ショールームとして、その世界観を堪能して頂けます。

Then, in 1990, alongside their rose cultivation efforts, they delved into the art of rose breeding. A significant milestone was reached in 1991 when they introduced “TeaTime,” a single-petaled rose variety uniquely born within the IchikawaRoseGarden. “TeaTime” quickly drew attention for its distinctive qualities, boasting long, straight stems and well-defined, high-centered petals that set it apart from existing cut roses. This rose garnered acclaim, particularly because of the prevailing natural design trend in Japan during that era.
Following this success, they continued to innovate and unveil distinct rose varieties, each with its own unforgettable character and a fresh concept that defied established norms. These roses not only shone in Japan’s flower industry but also made waves in the world of floral design, challenging traditional perceptions.
Furthermore, they came across the “Yves Piaget,” originally a garden variety, in a French rose garden. They began cultivating it as a cut rose and introduced it to the world of flower arrangements. In addition to this, IchikawaRoseGarden continued to create and propose new varieties that defied the conventional norms of cut roses. This included their own “Yves Series” and other Old Rose-type varieties, as well as roses with the rich natural fragrances and vibrant expressions inherent to the flower.
IchikawaRoseGarden now cultivates over 50 original varieties, exclusively grown within its premises. Their rarity,  coupled with evocative names, captures the hearts of flower designers and rose enthusiasts, sparking their creativity.
Even today, IchikawaRoseGarden remains dedicated to cultivating cut roses to perfection and offering them in the form of bouquets and floral arrangements. In 2013, they expanded their presence by opening “IchikawaRoseGarden Maison Ginza” in Tokyo’s Ginza district, alongside their main store based in Shizuoka. This flagship store specializes in roses and features a rose-scented salon and showroom, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting world of roses.
